As a landscape photographer, and having the most beautiful scenery like Bromo sitting on my island, and not having the chance to visit it, it makes me ashamed of myself.
However I have legitimate reasons not to. I have heard from a few people that for several reasons (I pointed out below) they didn't have fantastic experience being there. So it makes Bromo less desirable place to visit for me. I want to find justification from all of you who had been there, see if my assessment is true.
1. It's been photographed to death. I never seen creative shots of Bromo. So if i ever go there, it makes me wonder whether I could come up something different or just another typical photos of Bromo.
2. It's overcrowded. The more people = the less comfortable for photographer with tripod. People are fighting for space. It's heavily visited all year round.
3. Horse manure smell, obviously.
4. Dusty.
So, for you who had the opportunity to visit Bromo: would you come back? Did you find the place enchanting? Was the place overwhelming? Was the scenery really really amazing that you can forgo all the difficulties? overall, was it worth the trip?
Please discuss!
